Happy Birthday!

My first baby is in double digits people! We had a friend party for the first time in years. She had so much fun. I was so stressed but after all the prep the whole thing was so chill I felt I barely needed to be there. The younger kids watched shows and played video games with daddy so Sienna had time with just her friends. I seriously overestimated the amount of food we would need and I can't eat the little ceasers pizza because they use cornmeal and the corn makes me so sick. But I dont think the kids will mind a few days of left over pizza.

Enjoying her present from grandma and grandpa

So cute
Ahhh friends 😁🥰☺️

I keep playing with this painting/drawing and I am having fun with it.
I wanted to try some different things with this one. Water color, marker, gel pens, colored pencils.

A day on set

We arrive at the set, park and walk to the entrance. We wait in line to be swabbed for covid. After the rapid test is confirmed negative we wait in another line to check in. Once checked in we can grab some food and wait in our 3rd line to pick up her costume. We surrender my driver's license in exchange for her costume and enter a women's changing tent to change. I can't believe they use to dress little girls in such complicated outfits, but she looks stunning. Then we go sit in a chair by the hairdressers until the call her up. They put her hair half up, tie her ribbon, and secure her hat with Bobby pins. Then we go to wait in the "ready" room until the bus arrives. When the bus arrives we walk to the bus, before getting on the bus she gets her picture taken for "character consistancy." We load on the bus and I feel so sad for school kids. Wearing a mask on a hot bus full of people is suffocating, but driving into buffalo with Sienna's bright eyes and gloved hands against the window make it fun. We arrive at an old church where we snack and wait for 4 hours and then break for lunch. Oops. I didn't realize that wasnt lunch when they brought sandwiches. 6 month old Lucy enjoys trying bits of all the foods soft enough to gum and Sienna enjoys feeding the birds popcorn. Finally after 6 1/2 hours we walk to a green screen where Sienna plays ring around the rosies, and dolls with girls almost twice her height and walks in front of the green screen with her pretend parents. Lucy is getting very tired and I am doing waltz, foxtrot, and breastfeeding to keep her quiet. Someone tells me it is a closed set at this point but I explain I am a guardian of the littlest girl in blue, and they leave me alone. Finally it is time for all the kids to go! Thank goodness she is under....whatever magically age that means they can only keep her eight hours (although they would later break that rule for two night shoots in a row.) It was a really cool experience. Sienna threw up as soon as we made it home and we both remembered to eat less for the other 4 days of filming.

My mini me

"Mommy, do that towel thing."

She ordered creme cheese toast from the drive-thru.
She wanted to show me her bubble
"Thumbs down mommy, thumbs down" (two year old Sienna use to say this when she didn't like something.)
Just had her hair done
Sienna designing an outfit for Bridget
Ring-a-round the rosies
A tired baby practicing her walking with daddy.
She was super cozy.
My beautiful hand embroidered gift from my mil

Bridget "reading" Lucy a book

Sienna practicing her cooking
Soaking up some sun, and trying to feel better
We broke out the potty
The kids didn't know where I was when I went out to feed the ducks and made a replacement for me. I laughed so hard.

32!

I had a wonderful birthday. I did playdough with the kids, made fancy cheescake that only I liked(who knew that Jello cheesecake is apparently just better), I drew all the couples in my family....some of them turned out pretty good. The snow was so high outside that the kids greeted me at the sink while I did dishes. Sean and I watched anime. We went out to eat at Applebee's (which I was feeling really guilty about because we had been talking about our budget all day since my birthday falls around tax time) but as I sat there wondering if we should go home and feeling guilty a random man came up and left a gift card that covered most of our meal. The best part was Sean's smile. I am so grateful. It was a wonderful beautiful day.

Bridgetisms

 It is time for Bridgetisms!

Bridget named Sean's legs Mount Morris and the other day after he bent his legs up she shouted, "Mount Morris rises once more again!"

When one of the other kids gets something she wants she often says, " But it doesn't make any fair!"
