Christmas Break 2022

Due to a snowstorm our Christmas party was the week after Christmas. Here is Santa. Bridget loudly told everyone why he wasn't the real Santa. Luckily, all the kids younger than her had already left.

This is during the very long talent portion. I sang "As We Seek Him" by Shawna Belt Edwards. I sang it a Capella which was nerve wracking with most of the kids gone. Bridget covered her eare partway through, but Sienna was smiling at me and said it sounded really nice after.

Bridget brought bubbles with her. I only took Sienna and Bridget, Sean had to stay home with Lucy and Gabriel because they were sick.
Sienna's hair before and after I redo her braids.
My Christmas series Jesus as a baby, toddler, and kid.

Lucy was being silly with her hat. I love these nighttime interactions with just the 3 of us.

Bridget's geode turned out really cool. Pinkish on the outside and when we cracked it open it was shaped like a heart.
Giant geode cracking

Sean moved the bunkbeds up and I helped put them together. The kids were so excited.
Yay! He likes it. It is missing a few pieces now, but I was glad to see it is still play-worthy.
Looking at the portion of his ceiling that is finished, "I feel like I am in space!"

Bridget's bed has a slanted ladder so these two can get up and down easier.
This projector was gifted to us and the kids were so excited that they couldn't decide whether they wanted it set up that day or the bunkbeds. Sean managed to do both.

Christmas 2022

We enjoyed our traditional Christmas breakfast of cinnamon rolls, orange juice, bacon and sausage. We read Luke 2 while we ate.

I found these awesome chocolate chips, so cool!

We headed upstairs for present time, Sean is explaining the rules.
Youngest goes first
At this point Bridget and Lucy were wearing matching outfits, the picture below is Bridget.
She switched outfits because she was too hot. They all loved Bridget's new James.
Grateful little girl hugging her daddy...I can't remember which present this was for.
She kept taking Bridget's dolls, so now she has her own.

It was another new blanket year. I went to 3 different stores to find their favorite colors. It was a hit as always.
