Last week

Saturday at the home inspection

Bridget building her house with chairs

 Our Christmas tree
 Sunday: ready for church

This moment filled my heart with joy.
Monday: took the kids to play at the park. They loved ascending and sliding down snow mountain, and of course the first thing Bridget wants to do is swing.

A good way to snuggle daddy.

2019

I have been reflecting on the year, as I try to do as the end of the year approaches, and I have to say I am truly amazed at the way this year has turned out. The longest we have lived in one place this entire year is *drum roll please* two and a half months. Please don't get me wrong we have been insanely blessed, but just wow. The year started off in Modesto California and we were blessed to be there a whole month longer than we expected. 2 1/2 months. Then we were in Utah  switching hotels every one to two weeks, near the end there were two we stayed in for a month total time: 5 months (but in different cities with up to 45 minutes between.) Then we traveled cross country stopping in Michigan for one week. Total time: 2 weeks. We arrived in Vermont for what was touted to be a 3 month minimum 9 month maximum. A few weeks in they told us we were only needed for 2 months Total time: 2 1/2 months. Next we spent a week in New Jersey in a hotel near Sean's Uncle. Total time: 1 week. We will be finishing off the year in a short-term rental by the end of the year the total time will be... total time: 1 1/2 months. And there you have it folks 2019. I think this recounting is more exhausting and headache-inducing than living it. Owning a house is a blessing many can go their whole life without. July 2018 we said goodbye to our house. Hopefully 2020 is the year we can say hello to owning a home again.

What a day

Monday morning school work is waiting for the kids.
Sienna built this bridge and insisted I see it, my foot was hurting but I came anyway. Shortly after Bridget said she had to go pee. I turned to limp over and take her in and our neighbor started yelling from his window, "Come over here!" I told him my foot hurt and I wasn't walking all the way over there. Then I asked if we had been on his property. He just kept yelling, "come over, I want to talk to you." I walked inside and called the managers instead. Now I know exactly where the property line is so we will stay on it and hopefully not get yelled at anymore because I don't feel comfortable walking over to talk to someone who had no interest of talking until we were on his property.
Tuesday was a little crazy. We left so the cleaning lady could clean the rental and washed and vacuumed the van. Bridget sang every time water hit the windows.
We went to burger King and the Dunkirk library which was a lot of fun. Then we dropped the kids of with Kay-Kay and headed over to view a house. It started snowing a slushy snow. Sean saw a car and said very calmly, "they slid into a ditch." And a minute later, "we are going into the ditch." We called triple AAA and then the realtor who let us wait in his heated car. The sheriff was kind. Our van and us were miraculously unharmed.

We still went to view the house. I will show the gorgeous view of the yard from the family room.
